Alison Porter

Alison is a business psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in assessment, development and executive coaching.   She works primarily with senior management to identify and develop leadership potential and specializes in the design and delivery of assessment and development solutions. She is very experienced in assessing individual capability to undertake complex roles with a larger span of responsibility and in supporting clients to make the best hiring decisions.

As a coach she is particularly noted for combining cognitive- behavioural assessment with high quality inquiry, insight and solution focus to accelerate change and maximize performance.

Her experience spans both public and private sector enterprises, the latter operating in Financial Services, Telecommunications, Professional Services, Construction, Manufacturing and the Pharmaceutical industry.  She has extensive experience of working with Central Government departments as well as a wide range of Local Authorities. She has also worked with a number of regulatory and independent bodies and the NHS.   

A member of the BPS Division of Occupational Psychology and Association of Business Psychologists, she is also a Founder Member of the BPS Special Group in Coaching Psychology. She has qualifications in stress management, performance coaching and mentoring.  Alison holds certificates of competence in Occupational Testing and is qualified to use a wide range of psychometric tools.
